1. Categories / Participants
1.1 Each robot team consists of one member.
1.2 Each team may have one advisor (coach/mentor), but having an advisor is optional.
1.3 The competition is divided into 2 categories:
- 1.3.2 Senior Category – For participants aged 14 to 19 years.
- 1.3.1 Junior Category – For participants aged 5 to 13 years.
2. Competition Field
2.1 Line Tracing Track
- The competition field is a smooth surface with a black line on a white or light-colored background, ensuring clear visibility.
- The track may include inclines and consists of a continuous black line, with a width between 1 to 3 cm.
- The track may contain intersections and broken lines.
- The official track layout will be announced on competition day.
- The final round track layout may be different from previous rounds.

3. Robot Specifications
3.1 The robot must not exceed dimensions of 20 x 20 centimeters, with unlimited height. Before the competition begins, it must fit within a square box measuring 20 x 20 centimeters provided by the organizers.
3.2 Any model or brand of control board may be used, with no limit on quantity.
3.3 There is no limitation on the model or brand of sensors used in constructing the robot.
3.4 The robot’s weight must not exceed 2 kilograms.
3.5 A maximum of two motors is permitted.
3.6 The robot used in the competition must move using wheels along the provided line.
3.7 The robot must not separate or expand its size during the competition.
3.8 There is no limitation regarding the origin or number of mechanical parts and components. Parts can be self-made, 3D-printed, or adapted from toys.
3.9 Screws, nuts, or any fastening components on the robot must be securely attached. If parts detach or break off onto the playing field during the competition, judges will not remove them until that team’s turn has concluded. The team is allowed to continue competing.
3.10 The robot must be built in such a way that it can be detected by the competition’s timing system.
3.11 The robot must have an attachment point for the ping-pong ball container , conforming to the downloadable design. No part of the robot may extend above the edge of the container during the entire competition.

4. Prohibited actions in robot construction
No components or equipment may be used that, once installed, cause damage to the competition field under any circumstances.
5. First Round Competition Procedures
5.1 Each team has at least two attempts in the first round (each attempt includes up to two tries if the robot does not complete the first run successfully) to achieve their best possible time, with each attempt limited to 3 minutes. Teams may start their robots anytime within the designated timeframe (as specified in the schedule).
5.2 The first-round competition uses a ranking system based on each team’s best recorded time.
- 5.2.1 If two or more teams achieve identical times, a tie-breaker round will be conducted to determine the ranking for teams advancing to the next stage.
- 5.2.2 The top 8 teams with the best times will qualify for the final round.
6. Final Round Competition
6.1 Participants will gather in an area designated by the judges and program their robots according to the tasks specified by the judges within a set timeframe.
6.2 The final round competition follows the same rules as the first round. Each team has two attempts, each limited to 3 minutes.
6.3 The team with the fastest time will be declared the winner.
6.4 The second-best time will receive the 1st runner-up award.
6.5 The third-best time will receive the 2nd runner-up award.
6.6 The fourth-best time will receive the 3rd runner-up award (maximum of one team).
6.7 Teams ranked 5th to 8th (up to 4 teams) will receive the 4th runner-up award.
6.8 If there are identical times, a tie-breaker round will be held to finalize rankings.
6.9 Teams unable to complete the task will not be ranked.
7. Starting the Competition
7.1 When signaled by the judge, participants must receive the container and four ping-pong balls from the judges, attach them securely to their robots, and proceed to the competition field.
7.2 Robots are placed at the designated starting point, facing any direction, with no part extending beyond the starting area.
7.3 Upon the judge’s signal, competitors activate the robot by pressing a switch or button. Timing begins when any part of the robot leaves the starting area.
8. Stopping and Resuming the Competition
8.1 If a robot moves off the line, competitors may wait for the robot to return to the correct path within the same section, without manually handling the robot, and timing continues.
8.2 If a competitor manually touches their robot, that attempt immediately ends.
9. Ending the Competition
The competition ends when:
9.1 The robot reaches the finish line with at least one ping-pong ball remaining and successfully stops the timer. The final recorded time includes an additional penalty of 15 seconds for each dropped ping-pong ball.
- 9.1.1 If the robot passes the timer without stopping it, the robot may continue to complete another lap on the same path to stop the timer. There is no limit to how many laps can be attempted, provided it is within the allotted time.
9.2 If a competitor manually touches their robot, the attempt ends, and a time of 3 minutes will be recorded.
9.3 If all four ping-pong balls fall out of the container, the attempt ends, and a time of 3 minutes will be recorded.
9.4 If a competitor voluntarily ends their attempt, a time of 3 minutes will be recorded.
10. Violations
Competitors violating any rules specified in sections 3, 4, 10.1, or 10.2 will be penalized for a rule violation.
10.1 Competitors showing disrespect or insulting behavior toward opponents—verbally, through actions, or by programming their robots to emit sounds, messages, or gestures considered insulting—will be disqualified.
10.2 The following actions also constitute rule violations:
- 10.2.1 Interfering with another team’s robot functionality, e.g., using infrared signals to disrupt the opponent’s infrared sensors.
- 10.2.2 Entering the competition area during another team’s turn.
- 10.2.3 Throwing or introducing any components or equipment into the competition field during another team’s turn.
- 10.2.4 Causing unnecessary interruptions during the competition.
- 10.2.5 Any impolite or disrespectful actions harmful to the spirit of competition.
11. Penalties
Teams committing rule violations outlined in section 10 will incur an additional 20-second penalty. If the violation is committed by a team supervisor or coach, the entire team will be disqualified from the competition.
12. Damage and Accidents
12.1 Competitors may request to stop the competition if their robot suffers damage or an accident that prevents further participation. A time of 3 minutes will then be recorded.
13. Robot Identification
Robot names or identification numbers must be clearly and visibly marked on the robot body throughout the competition duration.
