Competition Rules

1. Participants/Teams

1.1 Each robot team consists of one member.

1.2 Teams may have one advisor (optional).

1.3 There is only one competition category:

1.3.1 Open Category: Participants aged 5 years and above.

1.4 Each participant can compete with only one robot in a single competition category.

2. Competition Field

The competition field consists of a flat surface with a clearly distinguishable black line on a white or light-colored background. The surface may have an incline. The route consists of a continuous line with widths ranging from 1 to 2.5 centimeters. There will be no intersections or breaks in the line.

3. Robot Specifications

3.1 The robot dimensions must fit within a 20 x 20 cm box provided by judges, with unlimited height.

3.2 No restriction on the control board type or brand.

3.3 For Lintracing Vision, only camera-type sensors are allowed. Line-detection sensors are strictly prohibited.

3.4 The robot’s weight must not exceed 2 kilograms.

3.5 Motor types and quantities are unrestricted.

3.6 Robots must move using wheels, following the designated line.

3.7 Robots may expand during the competition.

3.8 Materials and components are unrestricted, including self-made, 3D-printed, or modified parts.

3.9 Screws and fasteners must be securely fixed. Detached components during competition will be removed by judges, and the robot may continue competing.

4. Prohibited Actions in Robot Construction

4.1 Robots must not include any components or equipment that could damage the competition area.

5. Preliminary Competition

5.1 Teams have multiple attempts (within a designated time) to record their best completion time. Robots can be placed at any time within the allocated period (details provided in the schedule).

5.2 The best times will determine rankings, and the top 8 teams will advance to the finals.

6. Final Competition

6.1 Competitors must gather in the designated area to program according to given tasks.

6.2 Each team has multiple attempts (max. 2 attempts if the first is incomplete) within a 3-minute limit.

6.3 The team with the fastest time wins.

6.4 The second fastest team receives the first runner-up prize.

6.5 The third fastest team receives the second runner-up prize.

6.6 The fourth fastest team receives the third runner-up prize.

6.7 Teams ranked fifth to eighth receive the fourth runner-up prize.

6.8 In case of tied times, additional rounds will determine rankings.

6.9 Teams failing to complete tasks will not be ranked.

7. Competition Start

7.1 Robots must be placed at the start line without exceeding its boundary.

7.2 Robots must start upon a signal from judges; timing begins as soon as any robot part crosses the start boundary.

8. Stopping and Intervention

8.1 Robots can continue operating if untouched, with the timer running even if stopped.

8.2 Manual intervention disqualifies the round.

9. Competition Completion

Competition ends when:

9.1 A robot crosses the finish line.

9.2 If a robot fails or participants withdraw, the recorded time is 3 minutes.

10. Violations

Violations include:

10.1 Using prohibited parts or actions described in section 4.

10.2 Displaying unsportsmanlike behavior or disrespect through robot actions, sounds, or messages.

10.3 Disturbing other competitors, entering the competition area during other teams’ attempts, throwing parts, or acting disrespectfully.

11. Penalties

Violators of section 10 rules will be disqualified.

12. Accidents

12.1 Teams experiencing robot malfunctions or accidents may request to stop, resulting in a recorded time of 3 minutes.

13. Robot Identification

Robots must display clearly identifiable names or numbers for participation purposes.

Awards

1.Champion (1 team) – Receives a trophy and a certificate of achievement.

2.First Runner-up (1 team) – Receives a trophy and a certificate of achievement.

3.Second Runner-up (1 team) – Receives a trophy and a certificate of achievement.

4.Third Runner-up (1 team) – Receives a trophy and a certificate of achievement.

5.Fourth Runner-up (4 teams) – Each team receives a trophy and a certificate of achievement.
