  • The track may include inclines and consists of a continuous line, with a width between 1 to 3 cm.
  • The track may contain intersections and broken lines.
  • The official track layout will be announced on the first day of the competition.
  • The final round track layout may be different from previous rounds.

2.2 Obstacles

The track will have at least one obstacle placed on it.

The size and shape of the obstacle will be available for practice on May 30, 2025.

3.Robot Specifications

3.1 Size Restrictions

  • The robot must not exceed 20 x 20 cm in width and length.
  • There are no height restrictions.
  • Before the competition, the robot must fit within a 20 x 20 cm box provided by the referees.

3.2 Control Board

Only μS82 or μS112 control boards are allowed.

3.3 Only the following sensors are allowed for line detection MR-1R, MR-1G, MR-1B, MRC-9

3.4 Any type of object detection sensor may be used, but only one sensor is allowed.

3.5 The robot must not exceed 2 kilograms in total weight.

3.6 There is no limit on the number of motors used.

3.7 The robot must move using wheels and follow the designated line on the track.

3.8 The robot must not separate or expand during the competition.

3.9 There are no restrictions on the source or number of mechanical parts and components.Parts may be custom-made, 3D-printed, or modified from toys.

3.10 All screws, nuts, and fastening components must be securely attached. If any part of the robot detaches, breaks, or falls onto the field, the referee will not remove it until the match is over, and the competition will continue.

4.Prohibited Actions in Robot Construction

No components or equipment used in the robot’s construction may cause damage to the competition field under any circumstances.

5 First Round Competition Format

5.1 Robot Submission and Obstacle Placement

  • When the competition round begins, the referee will collect the robots and then place obstacles on the track.
  • Teams must submit their robots before the obstacles are placed.
  • Any team that fails to submit their robot in time will be disqualified from that round.

5.1 Competition Attempts and Time Limits

  • Each team will have at least two attempts in the first round.
  • Each attempt consists of up to two runs (if the first run is incomplete, a second attempt is allowed).
  • The best recorded time from the attempts will be used for ranking.
  • Each attempt must be completed within 3 minutes.
  • Competitors can start their robot at any time within the allowed competition period (as specified in the schedule).

5.2 Ranking System in the First Round

The ranking will be based on the best recorded time of each team.

5.2.1 If two or more teams have the same best time, a special tie-breaker match will be conducted to determine ranking or qualification for the next round.

5.2.2 The top 16 teams with the best results will advance to the final round.

6. Final Round Competition

6.1 All competitors must gather in the designated area set by the referees and write a program based on the task assigned by the referees within the specified time.

6.2 The final round follows the same competition format as the first round.

  • Each team will have 2 continuous attempts to complete the task.
  • Each attempt has a time limit of 3 minutes.

6.3 The team with the best recorded time will be declared the Champion.

6.4 The team with the second-best time will receive the First Runner-up award.

6.5 The team with the third-best time will receive the Second Runner-up award.

6.6 The team with the fourth-best time will receive the Third Runner-up award (maximum 1 team).

6.7 Teams ranking 5th to 8th place (maximum 4 teams) will receive the Fourth Runner-up award.

6.8 If multiple teams achieve the same best time, a tie-breaker match will be held to determine the rankings.

7. Match Start Procedure

7.1 When the referee gives the signal:

  • Competitors must be present at the competition field.
  • They must place their robot at the starting point.
  • The robot may any direction, but no part of it may extend beyond the starting point.

7.2 Once the referee signals the start:

The timer starts as soon as any part of the robot crosses the starting poin

Competitors must turn on the robot to begin operation.

8. Pausing and Continuing the Match

8.1 If the robot moves off the line, the competitor has two options:

  • Wait for the robot to return to the line within the same section (without crossing into another section).
  • No hands-on assistance is allowed.
  • The competition timer continues running regardless.

8.2 If the competitor touches the robot during the match, that attempt is immediately considered over.

9. End of the Competition

9.1 The match ends when the robot reaches the finish line or the end point, and the timer stops.

  • The latest recorded time will be used as the official competition time. 9.1.1 If the timer does not stop when the robot passes the time sensor, the robot is allowed to continue running along the same path until it crosses the time sensor again and successfully stops the timer.
    • There is no limit to the number of attempts.
    • However, this must be within the allowed time limit.

9.2 If the competitor touches the robot, the match immediately ends, and the referee will record the time as 3 minutes.

9.3 If the competitor chooses to forfeit the match, the referee will record the time as 3 minutes.

10.2 A competitor will also be considered in violation of the rules if they:

10.2.1 Interfere with an opponent’s robot operation, such as by emitting infrared signals to disrupt the opponent’s infrared sensor module.

10.2.2 Competitors must not enter the field during another team’s match.

10.2.3 Competitors must not throw or place any objects or components into the field while another team is competing.

10.2.4 Any action that unnecessarily disrupts or halts the competition without a valid reason is considered a violation.
