1.2 The team will have 1 mentor or not

1.3 Age categories

  • 1.3.2 Senior Age 14 - 19

1.4 Each competitor can compete in only one team per division.

2. Features of the drone

2.1 Specify the use of quadcopters with a size not exceeding 600 millimeters (measured diagonally between motors)

2.3 The drone's weight must not exceed 2 kilograms (including the battery but excluding the remote control)

2.4 Any type of battery is allowed, but it must have a label indicating voltage and current. Damaged batteries, labels that are fading, chemical leaks, or signs of swelling are strictly prohibited for use in the competition

2.6 Reserve drones are allowed in the competition, and they must be presented to the judges for inspection in advance

3.Competition and Ranking

Played indoor in a predetermined “flying zone” measuring up to 4m x 8m with a net surrounding it for safety

3.1 The competition is conducted with one team competing at a time, consisting of 2 rounds, each lasting 3 minutes, to record the time and score. The judges will select the maximum number of rounds flown in each match and aggregate the scores to determine the rankings of the winners

3.2 The drone must fly at an altitude ranging from 1 to 2 meters, as indicated by the specified height lines. If the drone exceeds this limit, the rounds will not be counted for that particular attempt.

3.3 During the competition, team mentor are not allowed to enter the competition area, and no assistance is allowed to the competitors under any circumstances

3.4 At the beginning of the competition, the pilots should stand at the take-off point without arming the propellers until the judges signal the start of the competition

3.5 After the drone takes off, the pilots must stay outside the field boundaries. If any part of their body is within the competition area, the judges will instruct them to stop the competition immediately

3.6 Competitors must fly the drone continuously along the designated route and land at the Landing point within 3 minutes. The judges will stop the timer when the drone touches the ground, ensuring that no part of the drone exceeds the landing area boundaries. Otherwise, a time penalty of 20 seconds will be added.

3.7 If a drone collides, crashes, or experiences any issues, they must restart the drone flight from the Take-off point. The timer will continue running until the completion of the 3 minutes

3.8 During the competition, competitors are allowed to change the battery, and the timer will continue running until the completion of the 3 minutes. However, they must notify the judges before entering the competition area.

3.9 Before each round of the competition, the judges will randomly place obstacles, which are circular rings with a diameter of approximately 80 centimeters, at two points along the designated route that each drone must pass through

3.10 If any participating team attempts to obstruct the flight of the opposing team to the extent that it results in a flight incident, the judges will disqualify that team from the competition

4. Arena

4.1 Played indoor in a predetermined “flying zone” measuring up to 4m x 8m with a net surrounding it for safety.

4.2 There are two designated pole positions, and the flight path is in the shape of the number eight (marked by black lines).
